BENEFITS OF MIDDAY DOG WALKS
Puppies (under one year):
Need help with housebreaking? Mid day visits help establish and maintain a housebreaking schedule. Crate trained puppies need to get out every three or four hours for proper training and socialization. As puppy grows our walkers help train basic manners ... just let us know as things come up, we can help fix any puppy problems!
Adult dogs:
Mid day dog walks help loving owners provide exercise and mental health to their dogs during the week when their time is most limited. Over crating and under exercising can result in hyperactive and / or destructive behavior. Our walks are not leisure strolls or potty breaks but active walking sessions! Healthy dog walks are approximately 1 to 1 1/2 miles, 30 to 40 minutes in length. Dog walks are scheduled from 8 am to 4 pm Monday thru Friday.
Elderly Dogs:
Elderly dogs frequently need more potty breaks to avoid accidents and stress. In addition, special needs like medication or diet may require a visit from a knowledgable care giver. Mid day dog walks or visits with elderly dogs,provide exercise, mental health and fill those special needs during the week when your time is limited. Elderly dog walks are also scheduled Monday thru Friday 8 am to 4pm and accommodate the dogs physical ability in length.
Cancellations:
Because each of our clients has a reserved slot on one of our walkers limited schedules, scheduled walks are non refundable. However, you will be credited for a missed walk. Make up days and times are subject to your doggie walker's availability.
Holidays:
We generally do not provide walking service on holidays unless needed. There will be an additional holiday fee of $5/per walk on the following scheduled Holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. All holiday fees go directly to the dog walker that's been assigned to your home. ** We will provide service on all other federal holidays, clients will not be charged if they do not need service on a federal holiday if we are informed before that billing cycle. **
Inclimate Weather Policies:
Winter Conditions:
For safety reasons we will not walk dogs on ice, a potty break and playtime will be substituted on these days. On days that you will be home because of the weather, or if we are unable to provide service due to the weather we will credit your walk on the following billing cycle.
Summer Conditions:
For the health and safety of the animals we walk, we will not walk in extreme heat conditions when the heat index is over 95 degrees. We will not walk during a thunder-storm due to the unpredictability of lightning. A potty break and playtime will be substituted on these days
